The role

As the Account Manager Central Europe at Olam Cocoa for Professionals you fulfil a key position as part of the Olam Cocoa division reporting directly to the European Sales Lead and provide overall leadership for the development and management of strategic accounts including key distribution partners in Central Europe. Your primary responsibilities are to execute the OCPro distributor strategy for existing business and drive growth in new markets. You are also accountable for building customer relationship and insights in the distribution and foodservice segments in Central Europe, creating and defining the sales vision and long-term goals that drive significant business development impact for OCPro.

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for the overall success of distributor relationships in Central Europe for OCPro
  • Achieve the commercial volume and margin targets for the segment in line with OCPro budget and plans for continuous growth
  • Work closely with regional marketing lead to help deliver the marketing strategy for each country. This can include; attending trade fairs, developing relationships with potential endorsers and/or cookery schools, exploring co-branding opportunities etc.
  • Develop and drive the roadmap for further optimization of the OCPro distributor strategy
  • Oversee contract management, execution, negotiations and price list formulation strategies
  • Proactively develop deep understanding of the targeted customers and their environment
  • Develop account plans for targeted accounts and involve all relevant departments and stakeholders in Olam to ensure connectivity and feasibility of plan including global alignment

The candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5y+ working experience in the Foodservice industry, experience with cocoa/chocolate is strongly preferred
  • German and English proficiency required. Any other European language is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce
  • Travel approximately 50%
  • A natural born people person, with very good listening skills and with the ability to create strong relationships with customers
  • Flexible and open to new situations and people, enthusiastic, assertive, commercially minded, with a hunger for new learnings and fun to work with
  • Location: home office Germany and option to work from the Mannheim office
