Junior Account Manager

 

JOB ROLE SUMMARY
As a Junior Account Manager, you will be responsible for several accounts and/or specific regions in Europe. You will take care of managing the sales to these accounts with a focus on growth and launching new projects with these accounts. In addition, you will be developing new accounts within the region to increase our market penetration. 

You will be working in close cooperation with your colleagues in the sales team, the customer operations team, quality department as well as the teams in the origins where are products are being produced. You will be based out of our office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

As Junior Account Manager at Olam Spices you will…

  • Be trained on-the-job 
  • Aim to grow into a Key Account Manager position 
  • Be responsible for several accounts across Europe with the purpose to optimize the service level and realizing business growth 
  • Build, develop and maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders at our customers
  • Be responsible for pro-actively developing sales opportunities with existing and new customers
  • Manage contract negotiations in close cooperation with the respective product origin teams
  • Negotiate pricing, conditions and other aspects to close deals
  • Maintain and manage your project pipeline actively, provide sales forecasts and visit reports with clear objectives and actions 
  • Collaborate intensively with your sales colleagues, customer operations team and product origin teams 
  • Report to the Head of Sales EMEA
  • Travel up to 30% of your time to customers and Olam origins

We are looking for someone…

  • With a passion for food and keen interest in following and identifying trends and developments in the international food industry
  • With a go-getter attitude, perfectly at ease in a sales & marketing role
  • With maximum 3 years of work experience
  • With a Bachelor degree or higher 
  • Creative in finding solutions, a strategic thinker who also takes action and executes. 
  • Results oriented with good negotiation skills and the ability to link short term goals with long term goals for customers and Olam
  • A natural born people person, with very good listening skills and with the ability to create strong relationships with customers
  • Flexible and open to new situations and people, enthusiastic, assertive, commercially minded, with a hunger for new learnings and fun to work with
  • Able to fluently communicate in both English and at least one additional main European language
