Sales Manager - Switzerland

 

An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager for the French & North African market. This position will be based in Eysins, Switzerland and will be responsible for realizing the sales budget for the assigned area, managing customers, key accounts and distributors. You will regularly report on the activities in the assigned area.

The main duties of this role will include:

  • Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing customers in France and Maghreb;
  • Developing, strengthening, and improving relationships with potential French customers; 
  • Negotiating contracts and conditions; 
  • Creating quotes and contracts; 
  • Communicating with internal departments; 
  • Regular visits and presentations to customers/distributors; 
  • Following of market developments and interpreting the influence on the budget/sales plan; 
  • Competitive intelligence 
  • Coordinating customer complaints and sample requests; 
  • Negotiating and closing sales for the French market; 
  • Performing market and customer research for preparation of customer visits and fairs; 
  • Supporting forecasting process (e.g. data collection, uploading of consensus). 
  • Updating customers on market positioning and usage coverage 
  • Following up to customers with regard to Accounts Receivables. 
  • Ensuring shipments are called off as per planning. 
  • Seeking new distributors 
     

The successful candidate will pose the following:

  • A master’s degree in food technology or business (French education appreciated); 
  • Agribusiness/Ingredients product knowledge and experience working with an R&D team; 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales and handling key accounts; B2B ingredients food sales. 
  • A strong knowledge of the French market and French culture. 
  • Native French speaking. Excellent communications skills and fluent in business English both spoken and written. Another European language is a plus; 
  • A strong and stress resistant personality and must have good negotiation skills; 
  • The ability to work independently without losing the feeling for the group targets and demands; 
  • Flexibility, it is your nature. Ability to work with different cultures; 
  • Strong people skills; 
  • A customer focused attitude; 
  • Strong Entrepreneur skills; 
  • Team player who can motivate people; 
  • Flexible and creative and will be able to organize; 
  • Decision maker with both a focus on the customer as well as the result; 
  • Swiss or European passport. 
  • Prepared to travel extensively
